Islamabad: PEMRA has banned the broadcast of Imran Khan's speeches and press conferences, and a notification has also been issued in this regard.
According to the details, the ban on showing the speeches of Chairman PTI Imran Khan has been imposed under PEMRA Ordinance 2002.
In the notification issued by Pemra, it has been said that now no TV channel will broadcast Imran Khan's speeches and press conferences.
It should be remembered that earlier the Islamabad High Court had declared null and void the notification of the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) regarding the ban on the live broadcast of the speeches of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Imran Khan.
On August 21, PEMRA had banned all TV channels from broadcasting the speeches of former Prime Minister and Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan live.
In the notification, referring to Imran Khan's speech at F-Nine Park Islamabad a day earlier, it was said that Imran Khan is constantly making baseless allegations against state institutions, his actions against state institutions, and officers. The statements are also a violation of Article 19.
In the notification, all TV channels were directed not to telecast Imran Khan's speeches and address live, however, his recorded speech could be telecast.
It should be noted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan was assassinated yesterday on the occasion of the real freedom march in Punjab, after which he issued an important and direct video statement the next day.
Talking to the media at Shaukat Khanum Hospital, Imran Khan said that he was aware of their plan, and that's why he had made another plan. We announced the long march and had made all our preparations.
He said that an attempt has been made to kill the leader of the biggest party in Pakistan, and the leader of the biggest party in the country is not getting justice.
Apart from this, Pakistan Army's public relations department, ISPR, has responded to Imran Khan's statement and said that the allegations against the organization and the officer by Chairman PTI are unacceptable.
ISPR says that there is a system of accountability for illegal actions by uniformed personnel, the honor of soldiers is being tarnished by the frivolous allegations of vested interests, and the agency will jealously protect its officers and soldiers.
