Islamabad: President Arif Alvi has declared April 30 as the date for the general surveys in Punjab, hours after the Political race Commission of Pakistan (ECP) proposed dates for the political race in the territory as coordinated by the High Court (SC).
"President Dr Arif Alvi has declared to hold general appointment of Punjab Gathering on April 30, Sunday," tweeted the President'sPresident's office on Friday.
Dr. Alvi's office said that PresidentPresident chose in the wake of "taking into account the dates proposed by the Political race Commission of Pakistan."
Recently the ECP, in its letter to President Alvi, suggested that the surveys for the joint gathering in Punjab can be held between April 30 — May 07.
The Political race Commission met today — the third continuous gathering — with Boss Political race Magistrate (CEC) Sikandar Ruler Raja in the seat.
"The commission is prepared to satisfy its Established and lawful commitments after the choice of a date by the president," it expressed.
Be that as it may, its letter to Lead representative Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ghulam Ali said the commission is hanging tight for his reaction considering the SC request.
The Punjab and KP gatherings were disintegrated on January 14 and January 18 separately, and under the law, the decisions were to be held no less than 90 days after their disintegration.

High Court request
